Migrating from CoinKeeper
Kept your books in CoinKeeper? You can move the transaction history into Svodly in full — together with the accounts and categories. Export the data to CSV and import it: there’s nothing to re-enter.

More on the mapping and the preview — in the “Import & export” section.
Mapping specifics
Labels aren’t lost. In CoinKeeper tags are a separate way to mark a transaction. Svodly does not keep separate tags, so such labels are moved into the transaction description (as “#tag”) — they won’t turn into extra categories, and search and filtering by description text keep working.
Savings jars and goals are best represented in Svodly with accounts of the “Savings” type: set them up in advance and route the matching transactions to the right account.
What won’t come across
- Category icons and colors. Svodly assigns styling from its own palette — change it if you like.
- Attached photos. They stay in CoinKeeper.
Undo, if something went wrong
An import is saved as a separate batch. Didn’t like the result — open the import log and tap “Undo”: the batch’s transactions are deleted and the balances return to their previous state.
Frequently asked questions
Where is export in CoinKeeper?
Under Settings → Export data. Exporting to CSV is available in the paid version of the app. The file can be saved or emailed to yourself.
Will tags from CoinKeeper be moved?
Yes, they won’t be lost. Svodly does not keep separate tags, so CoinKeeper labels are moved into the transaction description (as “#tag”) — search and filtering by description text keep working.
What happens to savings jars and goals?
It’s convenient to set up savings jars in Svodly as savings accounts (the “Savings” type) and route the matching transactions there during import.
Do I need to enter account balances by hand?
No. Svodly computes an account’s balance as the sum of its transactions. Move your history and the balances will add up on their own.
