Svodly Cloud account
You only need an account when using the Svodly Cloud — for syncing between devices and for shared access to a book. On desktop and mobile you can work without an account; in the web version an account is required. Here's what's important to know about it.
Sign-up
Two ways to create an account:
By email and password
- Open Sync → Svodly Cloud → Sign up.
- Enter your email and choose a password (at least 8 characters).
- An email with a six-digit confirmation code will arrive. Enter it in the app.
- Done — your account is activated and sync is connected.
Via Yandex ID or Google
- Sync → Svodly Cloud → Sign in with Yandex (or Google).
- Confirm access in the provider's window.
- The account is created automatically for the email tied to this provider. No password is set on the Svodly side — sign in with the same provider each time.
If you later want to set a regular password (for example, to sign in on a device where Yandex isn't set up) — use “Forgot password” and reset it via email. Both OAuth sign-in and a password work on the same email at once.
Sign-in
On any device with the same account:
- Sync → Svodly Cloud → Sign in.
- Enter your email and password, or tap the Yandex/Google button.
- The session stays open for 90 days.
After 90 days the app will ask you to sign in again. If you use the app at least once in that period — the session is extended automatically.
Password recovery
Svodly is a finance app, not a password vault. Password reset works like at ordinary services: a code to your email, a new password, access restored. No 24-word phrases and no master keys.
How to reset
- On the sign-in screen tap “Forgot password?”.
- Enter the email for your account.
- An email with a six-digit code will arrive. The code is valid for 15 minutes.
- Enter the code in the app.
- Choose a new password (at least 8 characters) and confirm it.
After you change the password, all your open sessions on other devices are closed automatically — this protects you in case an attacker gained access to one of the devices. You'll need to sign in again on each device.
If the email doesn't arrive
- Check the “Spam” / “Promotions” folder.
- Wait 30 seconds — sometimes there's a delay on the mail service's side.
- Make sure the email is written correctly (no spaces at the start/end).
- If nothing helps — email hello@svodly.ru with your email and the time of the attempt. We'll check the send logs and help.
If you forgot both your password and email
This is the hardest case. Svodly stores no ties other than email — there's no way to find an account by other data. If the email is gone for good, consider the account lost.
The local book on the device does not disappear in this case — it lives with you independently of the cloud. Register a new account and connect the same book — the data will be sent to the new cloud without loss.
This is a scenario where a periodic export to JSON is especially useful. The file lives with you locally and doesn't depend on any account.
Change email or password
Open Settings → Account:
- Change email — needs a confirmation code to the new address. After confirmation the old email no longer works for sign-in.
- Change password — enter the old password and the new one. All sessions on other devices will close.
Active sessions
In Settings → Account → Sessions you can see which devices currently have your account open. You can close any session — for example, a forgotten work laptop — with the tap of a button. On that device you'll have to sign in again at the next launch.
Delete your account
If you want to fully delete your account and all data tied to it on the server:
- Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Confirm with your password. If you have OAuth sign-in without a password — confirm via the provider.
- Confirm once more — this action is irreversible.
After deletion: your data on the server is deleted within 30 days (this window is needed to restore it in case of accidental deletion — email hello@svodly.ru within this period and we'll bring the account back). After 30 days — irreversible deletion.
The local book on your devices stays — it's yours. If you want to delete it too, do that manually after disconnecting the cloud.
A shared book in which you are the only owner is deleted together with the account. If it has other members, transfer owner rights to one of them before deletion (see “Shared access”).
Where to go next
- Sync — what happens after you sign in to the cloud.
- Shared access — shared bookkeeping with family and colleagues.
- Security — what is stored on the Svodly Cloud server.
