Cash

A wallet, an envelope, a jar on the shelf, the till in a business book — anything that sits in banknotes. The simplest type: no limits, no rates, no bank details. Takes ten seconds to create and then just counts.

How to create one

1. On the “Accounts” screen press + New account.
2. Type — “Cash”, currency — whatever the banknotes are.
3. Opening balance — how much is in the wallet right now. It is not a transaction but a starting point: the account's history begins there.

Withdrawals and deposits are transfers

Taking money out of an ATM is not an expense: nothing was spent, the money moved from the card into your pocket. Record a transfer “Main card → Cash”. Paying cash into the card is a transfer the other way.

Record a withdrawal as an expense and the month shows spending that never happened — and then again when you actually spend that money. A transfer counts as neither income nor expense, so the statistics stay honest.

What the card shows

The balance, a trend sparkline for the period and the usual transaction feed. Cash needs neither a limit nor a rate, so it has no extra tabs — only “Transactions” and “Analytics”.

Cashback is not attached to cash: it is paid on cards. Cashback rules are created on card accounts.
