Svodly documentation
Svodly is an app for personal finance and small-business bookkeeping. Your book file lives on your device; the cloud and sync are optional and up to you. This section walks you through the first launch and helps you get to know what the app can do.
Quick start in 5 minutes
If you've just installed Svodly, follow these steps in order.
Install or open the app
Download the installer for your system from svodly.ru/download, or open the web version at app.svodly.ru. Details are in the “Installation” section.
Create your first book
On first launch Svodly offers to create a personal book and one account. You can change the name and currency at any time. More in “Books”.
Add your first transaction
Tap + on the main screen and pick the type (expense, income or transfer), the amount, date and category. Every transaction is saved instantly and works offline. Learn more.
Connect the cloud — optional
If you have several devices or need a backup, open Sync and connect the Svodly Cloud. Without the cloud the app works offline. How it works.
Where to go next
The documentation is split into sections. These are the topics people look for most:
Bookkeeping
- Books — personal and business: how they differ and when you need each.
- Accounts — cards, cash, savings, loans; transfers between accounts.
- Categories & counterparties — what you spend on and who you pay or get paid by.
- Transactions — income, expense, transfer, attachments and notes.
- Budgets — limits on categories and counterparties for a period.
- Recurring transactions — templates for repeating income and expenses.
- Analytics — reports by period, category and account.
Data and cloud
- Import & export — CSV, JSON and XLSX; undo an import with one click.
- Sync — Svodly Cloud: connecting, devices, working together.
- Svodly Cloud account — sign-up, sign-in, password recovery.
- Shared access — shared bookkeeping with family and colleagues by invitation.
If something goes wrong
- Security — what is stored, where, and who can see it.
- Troubleshooting — sync isn't working, the app won't open, how to collect a log.
- FAQ — short answers to common questions.
Svodly is local-first. Your book file lives on your device. The cloud is only needed for syncing between devices and for backups. You can work without internet and without an account (on desktop and mobile).
